LONDON, Dec 3 (Reuters) - Britain's National Energy System Operator has cancelled an electricity capacity margin notice it issued earlier on Tuesday afternoon calling on more power to be available on the system.
"The capacity market notice originally active from 1730 GMT on Tuesday 3rd December 2024 has been cancelled..." it said on its website.
Under the capacity market scheme, generators are paid to make sure power generation is available at times when demand is high.
The operator previously said that expected aggregate capacity was 47,166 megawatts (MW), compared with a transmission demand and operating margin of 46,717 MW.
